Antibiotic resistance is among the top 10 threats to global health, according to the World Health Organization (WHO). So it’s no surprise that consumers and experts alike are lobbying for fewer antibiotics in farm animals.
But at what cost? Antibiotics has saved countless millions of lives and reduced the spread of bacterial disease. What happens if we take them out of the food supply?
