Ohi joined the Simpson Centre in September 2024 upon completing the Master of Public Policy (MPP) program at the University of Calgary. He earned his Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in 2018 and Masters in International Relations (IR) in 2022, both from the University of Dhaka. He has relationship and portfolio management experience from his banking career, spanning corporate and retail Banking. While an MPP candidate, he worked as a Graduate Research Assistant with the Health Policy and International Policy teams at the School of Public Policy. His work focused on employment readiness policies for Autistic Canadians and ‘The Canadian APEC SME Study Initiative.’

He is passionate about research on agricultural policies, focusing on the intersection with digitization, access to financing, commercialization, and eco-friendly practices. He also aspires to evaluate existing partnerships within the value chains and explore opportunities for new collaborations to drive sustainable agricultural development.
