Roshanne Sihota
Project Coordinator
Roshanne joined the Simpson Centre in October 2024 after earning a Master of Arts in Human Geography from the University of Calgary. Her research focused on governance and public engagement surrounding emergent biotechnologies, particularly gene editing, at human-environment interfaces. As a graduate student, Roshanne deepened her knowledge of agricultural governance by working with the multi- university consortium Gene Editing for Food Security and Environmental Sustainability, based at McGill University. She also pursued specialized training in International Affairs at The New School in New York City where she gained experience in policy research and writing. Roshanne also holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Calgary in Natural Sciences.
With a deep passion for interdisciplinary research, Roshanne is committed to exploring innovative approaches to governance and public engagement in agri-environmental contexts. At the Simpson Centre, she brings a strong dedication to providing high-quality project coordination and support.
