William A. Kerr

William Kerr is a University Distinguished Professor at the University of Saskatchewan. He is in the Department of Agriculture and Resource Economics. He has a BA in International Relations from the University of British Columbia, 1969, an MA in Economics (Trade and Development) from Simon Fraser University, 1973 and a PhD in Economics and Agricultural Economics from University of British Columbia, 1981. He was a member of the Economics Department at University of Calgary from 1980 until 1999 and Professor of Economics from 1989. He joined the University of Saskatchewan in 1999 as Van Vliet Professor of International Trade. The focus of his research is international agricultural trade and international agribusiness – trade policy formulation, trade negotiations and trade disputes. He is a Fellow of the Canadian Agricultural Economics Society and editor of the Estey Journal of International Law and Trade Policy.
